Elizaveta Laskova International Violinist
Based in Sydney, Australia
Russian-born professional musician and artist, performed as a soloist and orchestral member for many different concerts and events.
I began my violin studies at the age of seven in the Tchaikovsky Music School under Professor Sergey Kravchenko, quickly winning prizes at numerous violin competitions including First Prize at the 4th International Togliatti Competition; Third Prize at the 3rd Young violinist competition (Ekaterinburg) and most importantly, Second Prize at the 4th International violin competition in Novosibirsk, for which the world-famous teacher Zakhar Bron invited me to study in Madrid.
My winning a generous fully-funded scholarship from the Albeniz Foundation, I entered Bron's class at the Escuela Superior de Musica, Reina Sofia, Madrid in 2004, an opportunity that meant to me seven years of exceptional study. During this period I had the possibility to work with some of the world's leading musicians including Igor Ozim, Maurisio Fuks, Esther Perény, Ana Chumachenko and Leonidas Kavakos.
In 2015 I studied at the Manhattan School of Music and performed in New Jersey at The Oil and Mixed Media Exhibition.
As a soloist performer I play regularly with the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, Madrid Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Orchestra RF (Turkey) as well and, as a recitalist and guest concertmaster I have played throughout Europe (France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Switzerland and Spain) also in Brazil and Israel.
As a passionate chamber musician, I am regularly invited to international music festivals, including Golden Ferry (Sochi, Russia), International Festival of Classical Music, Parga (Greece) as well as playing at the Economic Forum in Davos.
I started my teaching career in 2011 at the Madrid Philharmonic school of music in Spain. My students have achieved high scores on exams and some of them have been awarded with international prizes. I'm currently teaching in Sydney's area and preparing students for exams and international competitions.
I strongly believe in shaping a lesson around each student individually, with focus on good fundamental technique and musicianship.
Music is an incomparably more powerful means and is a subtler language for expressing the thousand different moments of the soul's moods.
